Personal Statement:  “As a trained caregiver with 3 children of my own, I have come to appreciate the importance of how an experienced caregiver can improve the life of a child or a senior.  I am presently a caregiver at a daycare and I also work as a traffic enforcer for the City of Manila.  I believe that competence, patience and work ethic are the most important components of any caregiver role and I am committed to a career of serving others with my caregiver experience.”

Responsibilities have included:  supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of children; preparing nutritious snacks; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; teaching basic skills such as color, shapes, numbers, and letter recognition; reading books to entire classes or small groups; preparing materials and classrooms for class activities; and preparing reports on students and activities, as required.

Elderly Caregiver.  Responsibilities have included:  dressing and personal grooming; performing household-related errands; light housekeeping; changing bed linens; monitoring day-to-day condition of the client; assisting with administering medication; bowel and bladder care; and accompanying clients to activities and day programs.

Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position:   I approach caregiving as a profession and believe in balancing competence with kindness.  I am ready and willing to support even the most challenging patients/clients.  I’ve been told that my work ethic is pretty tough to match.

Personal Statement:  I genuine love caring for others.  My experience as a primary school teacher (English and Physical Education) gives me a unique perspective and knowledgeable approach to caring for young children.  As a mother of 4, I know how important it is to balance compassion with structure.  Finally, I have also worked abroad in Singapore and know that the opportunity to serve others is global.
