Relevant Skills and Experience: I am an experienced caregiver for children, with particular experience caring for newborns, infants, toddlers and preschoolers.  Presently, I am supporting a Hong Kong-based family (from England) by caring for their toddler and my responsibilities include and have included:  caring for and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for an infant, including: bathing, dressing and feeding the infant; supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of the child; preparing and serving nutritious meals; organizing activities and outings for children; supporting the child’s intellectual development; transporting and accompanying the child in a busy urban setting; and household responsibilities.  Prior to this role, I supported a Hong-Kong-based family for 4 years as a caregiver and domestic worker, caring for their child from birth.  My responsibilities there included:  maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home for the children and grandmother, including: preschooler and toddler care; bathing, dressing and feeding the children; supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of the children; providing additional support to a special needs child; preparing and serving nutritious meals; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; and taking children to and from school, appointments and activities; and full housekeeping.

Relevant Skills and Experience: I am an experienced caregiver for children, with experience caring for children ranging in age from newborn to school-age.  I am presently supporting a family in Hong Kong with 2 children.  I began when the oldest child was 3 and the mother was still pregnant with the 2nd child.  My responsibilities have included:  newborn and infant care; bathing, dressing and feeding an infant and toddler; supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of children; preparing and serving nutritious meals; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; taking children to and from appointments and activities; and full housekeeping.    In my prior role, I worked in Singapore caring for 3 year old and a 7 year old.  The responsibilities were similar and also included taking the children to and from school.

Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position:   I love children and believe in keeping them intellectually engaged, emotionally supported and physically active.  I truly enjoy connecting with children and building a relationship with the family.

Personal Statement:  I believe that there are few greater callings than caring for others who are unable to care for themselves.  This is why I have decided to become a caregiver.  What I’ve learned is that I thrive in the most difficult of caregiving situations, because it is during this time that I am entirely focused on serving.  From the elderly to children with special needs, being a caregiver proven to be the most rewarding aspect of my professional life.

Present Work & Interests:  I am presently working as a Volunteer Caregiver at a childcare facility in The Philippines and also a Drug Safety Analyst with Pfizer.  I am a trained caregiver and pharmacist, interested in leveraging my background to support families in need of childcare or eldercare.

Relevant Skills and Experience:  My experience includes caring for children (including those with special needs) and elderly persons.  My work supporting the elderly has required tube feeding, administering diabetic injections, bathing and assisting with physical therapy.  As a caregiver for children, I have attended to the basic needs of children (dressing, feeding and diapering) and also the developmental needs, including:  (i) teaching basic learning skills (colors, shapes, numbers and letters and personal hygiene); (ii) reading books to small groups; (iii) leading activities and creative play and (iv) serving meals and snacks.  I have experience working with special needs children, particularly those affected by autism.

Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position:   My commitment is to provide the highest level of care to those I serve.  I believe that extreme patience, attentiveness and kindness are the core skills of caring for others.

PERSONAL STATEMENT:  The most important character of a caregiver is love and patience for children.  If you love children, you will surely enjoy every minute you are taking care of them.  As a caregiver, I would have the opportunity to teach them and also to support their emotional development.

Present Work & Interest: Beth is an early childhood education teacher, with experience teaching (and caring for) children ages 2.5 years to 6 years old.  She is presently teaching  at Tridium Academy in Taguig City (Philippines) and would like to support a Vancouver-based family with young children.

Relevant Skills and Experience:  Beth has extensive experience with young children, particularly toddlers and children under the age of 6.  She has been teacher at Tridium Academy for nearly 1 year and prior to that time, worked  for 6 years, as the Children’s Ministry Head at her church organization. Her prior roles include have provided her with considerable interaction with young children.  She has also supported a family member, by caring her niece (who is now 6 months old) since birth; this has included dressing, feeding, diapering and monitoring the infant.  As a teacher, and in her former role as the children’s ministry head, her responsibilities have included:  supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of children; preparing nutritious snacks; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; teaching basic skills such as color, shapes, numbers, and letter recognition; reading books to entire classes or small groups; preparing materials and classrooms for class activities; and preparing reports on students and activities, as required.
