Personal Statement:  I believe that childcare is a profession and what I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the opportunity to contribute to the lives of children – in a meaningful way.  I believe the best approach is to balance attentiveness with compassion.

Relevant Skills and Experience:  I am presently supporting a Hong-Kong based family as a caregiver for 2 children, ages 8 and 3.  My  responsibilities require me to be particularly attentive to the 3 year old, who underwent kidney surgery at the age of 6 months.  Prior to this role, I supported Hong Kong-based family as a caregiver for their 3 children:  10, 7 and 1.  The role ended when the family relocated to London.  My past and present responsibilities have included:  maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home for children, including: toddler care; bathing, dressing and feeding children; supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of children; preparing and serving nutritious meals; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; taking children to and from school, appointments and activities; and assisting with homework and basic English instruction.  I am also experienced in housekeeping and grocery shopping.  Prior to Hong Kong, I was a caregiver in The Philippines and, over a 2 year period, cared for an infant and also preschool and school-age children.
