Wilkie, Saskatchewan-based family (S0K 4W0) is presently seeking an experienced caregiver to care for their infant.  The position is expected to commence as soon as possible. Childcare will take place in the employer’s home.

   

Criminal record check required. Rural Setting.

Personal Skills: Reliability; effective interpersonal skills; team player; excellent oral communication; judgement and intuitiveness; and flexibility.

Specific Childcare Skills:

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, sterilize bottles and prepare bottles (as needed) and change diapers for infant; prepare children for rest periods, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, tend to emotional well-being of children, supervise and care for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, bathe, dress and feed infant and children, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize, activities such as games and outings for children.

Additional Skills:

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties;  assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; travel with family on trips (as needed) and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties; wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; shop for food and household supplies.
