Relevant Skills and Experience: I am an experienced caregiver for infants and those with special needs. I am presently supporting a Hong Kong-based teenage (18) who is wheelchair-bound. My responsibilities include: assisting the young man with bathing, dressing and feeding; supervising, caring for and tending to his physical well-being; preparing and serving nutritious meals; organizing activities, games and outings for the young man; assisting with personal hygiene, as needed; and taking the young man to and from appointments and activities. In my prior role, responsibilities included: maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home for the child, including: newborn and infant care; bathing, dressing and feeding an infant; supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of the infant; and housekeeping.
Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position: I believe that being a caregiver is a job that must be performed with the heart and requires being genuine in every act. Caregivers must truly love their work.
Certifications & Additional Skills: I have a Bachelor of Science in Restaurant Management and a Caregiver Certificate.
Availability: Immediately, pending offer.
Regional Preference: Calgary – but flexible.
