- Present Work Status: Joy is interested in a full-time role with a Vancouver family. Her most recent family has school-age children and, therefore, no longer in need of full-time support.
- Prior Roles: For the past 4 years, Joy has cared for 2 boys; at the commencement of the role they were 3 years old and 5 months old. Prior to this role (2009-2011), she cared for two boys, ages 3 and 5 at the commencement of the role. From 2007-2009, she cared for a 4.5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy and from 2005-2007, she cared for an 11 month old girl. Upon her arrival in Canada (2002-2005), she worked as a live-in caregiver and cared for two children: a 14 month old boy and a 3 year old girl. Her responsibilities across these roles have included the physical care and emotional well-being of the children, including: feeding, bathing, diapering, dressing, potty-training support, meal preparation and engaging them in play and developmental activities. Joy’s responsibilities have also included driving and accompanying children to activities and organizing outings and play dates.
Relevant Skills and Experience: Joy has extensive experience working caring for children of all ages, from infancy through school-age. She is extremely knowledgeable about caring for children in the context of Vancouver and is a valued member of each family that she supports. - Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position: Joy is very kind, energetic, and very engaging with children and parents alike. She is passionate about caring for children and has a depth of experience that has proven extremely valuable to her past employers.
