I am presently a caregiver at a daycare and I also work as a traffic enforcer for the City of Manila. Relevant Skills and Experience: Formally trained to care for the elderly and children and ongoing work as a child caregiver.
Child Caregiver (Daycare). Responsibilities have included: supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of children; preparing nutritious snacks; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; teaching basic skills such as color, shapes, numbers, and letter recognition; reading books to entire classes or small groups; preparing materials and classrooms for class activities; and preparing reports on students and activities, as required.
Elderly Caregiver. Responsibilities have included: dressing and personal grooming; performing household-related errands; light housekeeping; changing bed linens; monitoring day-to-day condition of the client; assisting with administering medication; bowel and bladder care; and accompanying clients to activities and day programs.
Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position: I approach caregiving as a profession and believe in balancing competence with kindness. I am ready and willing to support even the most challenging patients/clients. I’ve been told that my work ethic is pretty tough to match.
Certifications & Additional Skills: I hold a Caregiver Certificate from VGB Center for Training and Development (The Philippines). I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from Polytechnic University of The Philippines.
