Relevant Skills and Experience: I am a licensed midwife, with experience caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, which includes supporting: (i) a Hong Kong-based family for the past 2 years, caring for their (now) 4 year old son and their 2 dogs; and (ii) a Hong Kong-based family for 11 months, as a caregiver for their newborn and 5 year old children. My past responsibilities have included: maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home for the children, including: newborn, infant, toddler and preschool care; bathing, dressing and feeding the children; supervising, caring for and tending to the emotional well-being of children; preparing and serving nutritious meals; organizing, activities such as games and outings for children; instructing children in personal hygiene and social development; and taking children to and from school, appointments and activities. I resigned from my first position in Hong Kong to return home and tend to a family matter.
Personal Attributes Relevant to the Position: I genuinely love being a caregiver. Beyond the physical responsibilities, I look for the joy and laughter in every situation. I believe that it is important to bring good, positive energy into an environment with children. I enjoy taking care of kids and I like very talkative children. The boy I take care of is very talkative – and I when I travel home, I stay in touch with him through WhatsApp.
